Season Start Sport Profile : Girls Hockey

With great progress last year, winning the conference title for the first time in program history, and making it to the sectional final game, the Rock County Fury has an optimistic outlook for this season. They shoot to win conference and return to state.

With Sara Nerad, Ella Silha, and Cammi Ganshert leading the team this year, there is potential for many players to break the most points in a season record.

Some of the promising players this season are Mya Maslonka, Anika Einbeck, Alyssa Knauf, and Hailey Knauf.

Coach Steurer helps coach these student-athletes with the guiding principles of trust, good work ethic, and a never quit attitude.

Their biggest competitors this year will be from Sun Prairie and Middleton.

They have started the season strong. Their overall record is 4 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie. They are 2-0-1 in the Badger Conference and tied for first place with the Capital City Cougars as of December 18.

On Friday, Dec. 21, they played in Monroe for a Pink the Rink event.
