Craig show choirs shake up the stage

On Saturday, March 2nd at the Totino-Grace Show Choice Spectacular, Spotlighters lit up the stage, placing 3rd overall. At this competitive competition, Spotlighters placed the highest in program history. Illuminations shined equally bright, placing 2nd with Best Female Soloist Kennedy Peters.

The Craig Spotlighters have started their season off strong, placing 1st at the Burlington Chocolate City Showcase, Milton Rock the Rock, and the Fort Atkinson Showcase. In Burlington, Spotlighters won Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Band, and Best Female Soloist (Morgan Stengel). At the Milton Rock the Rock, Spotlighters won Best Vocals, Best Choreography and Best Band. Continuing their streak for Best Vocals, Spots proceeded to win Best Vocals for the 3rd time at the Fort Atkinson Showcase. In their first out-of-state competition the Davenport Great River Show Choir Invitational of the year,  Spots placed 5th.

The Craig Illuminations received 1st place in the Burlington Chocolate City Showcase and Milton Rock the Rock. In Burlington, they received Best Vocals, Best Band, and Best Female Soloist (Kennedy Peters). At the Fort Atkinson Showcase, Illuminations placed 4th. This weekend at the Totino-Grace Show Choir Spectacular, Illuminations placed 2nd with Best Female Soloist Kennedy Peters.

Both Spotlighters and Illuminations will perform at the Spotlight Spectacular on March 9th and the Decatur Premier Choice Show Choir Invitational on March 16th. Their final performance will take place at Craig High School at 7 to 8 PM in the Large Auditorium.
