Varsity Girls Basketball edges out Parker in a nailbiting 54-45
On Tuesday, November 23rd, the Girls Varsity Basketball team tallied their second win of the season, beating rival Janesville Parker with a score of 54-45.
The Cougars led at halftime and maintained the lead throughout the game.
The crowd was biting their nails the last few minutes of the game as Parker attempted to even the score.
Craig’s leading scorers were Claudia Fieiras with 21 points and Emily Pierson with 13.
Parker’s Julia Hartwig, who will play for UW-Green Bay next year, scored 16 points in limited time. She is dealing with a shoulder injury.
The Girl’s team remained undefeated, with two conference victories, one against Beloit, and one against Janesville Parker.
On Friday, Nov. 30, the Cougars take on Verona in the Craig gym.
