From a beautiful display of quinceañera dresses to a mellifluous performance by Craig High School’s Band & Orchestra to a well choreographed and exiting dance for a finale, Craig Hispanic Heritage Assembly contained a variety of exiting displays of Hispanic culture.
The assembly took place on October 12, 2023 in the large auditorium.
It began with band and orchestra performing a variety of pieces composed by Hispanic musicians, including a piece by mariachi, performed by the orchestra.
A display of quinceañera dresses came next, each dress being displayed one by one.
Each female quinceañera model was accompanied by a male escort, making for an elegant fashion show.
A young girl then performed a dance in which she placed a clay pot onto the ground and spun on top of it before stepping down from the pot and placing it back on her shoulder.
Afterwards, other dancers performed a variety of dances dressed in traditional hispanic clothing.
Some dancers wore colorful flowing dresses while others wore colorful shirts. F
or the finale, a large group of dancers performed an exciting and energetic Mexican hip hop dance.
Overall, the assembly was an entertaining and exciting experience, and a wonderful showcase of Hispanic heritage.
