Addams Family comes to Craig High School
Excitement has grown in the music wing with a climatic show of dark and a familiar piano lick. The Addams Family is coming to Craig!
Based on the classic 1960’s TV show of the same name, the musical revolves around a family called the Addams and their navigation towards love. The Addams family was originally created by Charles Addams, who in 1938, debuted a comic strip about a strange family with an affinity for the dark and depressing.
The Addams Family, when it premiered on Broadway, won several awards, including two Tony award nominations.
The Craig production features the best of the best musicians at Craig, with a talented cast as well as band. Many of the musicians were previously on stage with show choir and previously the summer musical Music Man.
Caitlyn Dickman, who plays the iconic Wednesday, expressed excitement over finally being on the stage again.
“I am most excited about being able to perform again after Covid-19 took away almost two years of musical theater,” she expressed.
Many more performers share the same sentiment as the air turns bright and cheery during practices.
The last musical hosted at Craig High School was Pippin (2019), under the direction of Adam Miller and Matt Imoff.
Addams Family opens its doors to the audience on April 21-24.
