Janesville’s Kennedy brothers, William, Stephen, and Robert, own Rock Road Companies which builds a safe infrastructure for travel within Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, while also maintaining a reputation for quality work and fair business practices. William graduated with the St. Thomas Academy class of 1968, Stephen graduated with the Craig High School class of 1975, and Robert with the Craig class of 1978. All three brothers went on to post-secondary education in Business or Engineering.
Rock Road Companies is dedicated to giving back to the community through charitable organizations. For their 100th anniversary in 2013, the brothers started the Kennedy Family Foundation to support nonprofit programs in and around Rock County. This foundation supports a wide range of needs, including public safety, education, and health care. Some beneficiaries include Agrace Hospice Care, Boys & Girls Club, GIFTS Men’s Shelter, Janesville Farmers Market, and Rock County First Responder Community Initiatives.
Each year from 2004-2017, Rock Road Companies earned the National Asphalt Pavement Association Diamond Achievement Commendation for overall quality, safety, and service. Since its founding in 1913, Rock Road Companies has been committed to providing incomparable service, and the Kennedy Brothers deserve commendation for their dedication towards that goal.
